Dont fate grind please
fate grinding is a lazy way to level as in doing it from 10-50 vs questing 1-50. i admit though there are moments it seems needed. like today i was questing 15-20 and ran out of quests to do. i could move onto another area but if i want to level another class or job i will be out of luck. so for a level and a half i fate grinded. the allure is to great.
ff11..been playing since release off and on and i dont think i have a maxed a job out yet. i kind of hoped ff14 would of been the same.
i am trying to level all classes and jobs, doing all the quests and i hope it takes me a few years to get it all done.
but you pay your monies to play this game however you wish and if max level in the quickest possible time is what you want then so be it.
just seems if there was ever a game to rival WoW, it was FF all along where all the other johnny come lately went free to play. id like to see FF be the top and for that we need people to slow down.

why make this post , why don't you just quest grind. While others prefer other methods it is a MMO right?
-
well to be fair, when you hit 50, you haven't actually maxed anything out, as there is going to be a level cap increase. So in all honestly, no one has maxed out anything.

People will play how they want, this game has not long been released, in time there will be be lots of chars of all level ranges, personally i do a bit of both questing & fates, what others do is entirely upto themselves, they pay the same as me & are free to do whatever (provided its within the CoC) :)

It's nice that you add "please" and I agree with the sentiment but, honestly, why do you feel able to tell others how to play their game the way they choose? It's their loss, everyone knows it, they eventually find it out, and they don't last long enough to cause much of a problem when they try and do dungeons.

I shall fate grind to the day I... the day I.. oh yea hit level 50...

You know you are missing the whole point of the game right? You have various viable paths to xp grind and can choose the one you enjoy the most. From normal questing, fates, leves, even the old school FFXI mob kill grind. The whole point was to appeal to as many people as possible and provide a fun experience for everyone. All I see from your post is "I think my way is best everyone must do it my way or are stupid"

actually.. as a healer, it's probably more beneficial to lvl up in a fate party than quest since it exposes you more healing mechanics and actually prepares you for your role, as opposed to doing quests - although it still does not prepare you nearly enough as dungeons could.

You seem to think there are actually quests when you go to level a 2nd combat class.. well newsflash, any quest you do are gone for good. All there is to level a class the 2nd time thru really is fates, leves don't award nearly enough exp for how limited they are, and dungeons are even worse when you look at exp/hr. There is also your hunting log but in later levels you can complete the entire thing and not get 1 level out of it. So yeah go ahead and quest to 50, but don't whine when your 2nd combat class has nothing but their class quest every 5th level to do, because thats all you'd have left quest wise. I suspect when casuals find this out after getting their 1st 50 alot will just quit on the spot.
