Regen having no effect

I can't be the only one annoyed by this.

You know, that 2 or so second window before your spell wears when, if you attempt to reapply Regen, you get "no effect?" It seems strange to me that you can reapply it when you have 15 seconds left (out of 21) but you can't at 1-2 seconds left.

It's probably due to Divine Seal wearing off.

Several things can cause this. Divine Seal, Convalescence, anything that increases healing potency when it's applied. Essentially, regen's potency is determined on the first tick, easily testable by using divine seal. Weaker versions will not overwrite stronger versions.

Essentially, they're trying to help you out by preventing an "accidental" overwrite. I do wish that could be coded to drop it's priority over normal regens at <3 seconds, though.

Nah, that's not it. I get this often on just standard regen->regen->regen casts. Seems like a server bug. If something is about to wear off, you can't reapply it until it has worn off. That 1-2 second window has something going on on the server.

I have only noticed it do that on Warriors. I assumed an ability they have negates HoT spells or something.

they carry convalescence from gla line and likely use it much more frequently since they self heal a lot, and possibly mantra as well

Yes, this is what I'm talking about. It's definitely either a glitch or something server-side. I'm not sure if I should report it or not.

It occurs when you critical on a Regen cast. The potency of that Regen is higher than a non-crit Regen cast afterwards; as such, you get the "No effect" message when trying to overwrite / extend the duration.

Quick question, haven't verified myself but will this effect work like DS/Conv/etc with wrath stacks to boot? Honestly, I don't see many warriors these days, but that could be another reason.

Probably Wrath. Wrath boosts healing received (same as Convalesce), so if you hit them with regen at 4 or 5 stacks, you have to wait until they build to 4 or 5 stacks again before you can reapply.
