WHM advice welcome

Hi!
I just recently chose my job as WHM and I find I am having some trouble as the dungeons get more difficult. I can keep my party alive but I end up dying. I don't think I'm overhealing, but maybe I am because I seem to always draw enmity from enemies in the last room. I would welcome any advice! Thanks!

I dont use the AE heal much at all. Repose is my best friend.

My normal fight starts with letting the tank get a couple good moments in.. then i heal, repose the other mobs, then go back to healing.

I generally use cure 1 as my bread and butter.. cure 2 is only if someone gets below 50%.

If i get agro, I repose or use the knock back.

My mouse wheel has repose as the right click and the knockback as the left.. so its easy to get out. I also picked up surecast from the Thaum tree for Oh Sh!t situations.. especially a in battle rez.

Im guessing you are talking about Haukke Manor? That fight I use AE often after the adds pop and kite them as much as possible

Don't use Cure II until the Freecure is up, unless it's an emergency.
It takes a lot of MP. Freecure give 15% chance of Cure II being a no-cost. Says you're 31 so Freecure is level 32.
Having Regen later helps. You get that at level 35.
If you keep on dying, I dunno perhaps the tank and other DPS won't turn around and halpz. That's how I die most of the time lol

Thanks! I have not used Repose much so far but I will definitely try that. Unfortunately I am on the ps3 so I have no mouse configuration. However I have been meaning to unlock THM for surecast but I was so focused on getting to the WHM job that I forgot!

One thing you must know for WHM is that overhealing in this game gives you full hate. Regen also gives you hate for each tic, so make sure not to cast it before the tank engages as it's pretty much suicide. So essentially, heal as needed, and don't spam. You get more Limit bar boost that way anyway.

Another thing is, I don't know if this is a exploit right now or working as intended as it didn't do this in FFXI but right now Regen's and Medica II Regen's stack. So when you start playing in groups with another WHM just cause the WHM cast's Regen on the Tank doesn't mean you can't cast Regen also (there will be 2 Regens on the tank, your regen is the one with the green numbers counting down, the white numbers counting down will be the other WHM's regen). Get swiftcast for raise. everything else everyone has said is pretty much everything else you need to know.

O also that one person that said something about free cure is true, but there is also an ability called overcure that is basically the same exact thing as free cure except it goes from Cure II > Cure III, so if can keep your tanks alive with just Cure I you can essentially throw in some Cure II's and Cure III's for completely free.

In addition to everything posted above: Stoneskin is your friend. As soon as you get it, keep it on you as much as reasonable; always put it on before the start of the fight so you have a little extra HP to protect you, but I wouldn't risk putting it on mid-fight unless you know there's a lull in the incoming damage where you can afford the 3 second cast time and the MP cost.
