Crafting guide/advice for newbie wanting the AF?

Hello,

I have to be very honest, I have very little interest for crafting but...
That may be shallow but for vanity purposes I really want the AF for Weaver and Alchemist and also maybe Culinarian.

How would I go about leveling those 3 the most effectively?

I know there are some cross-class skills needed so what would be needed to get those 2 (or 3) up to 50 without having to level everything else to 50?
Any advice to make it nice and sweet? I am in no rush so even if it take monthes i don't mind but I would like time/effective solution (like while queuing)

I also know absolutely nothing so comprehensive guide would be awesome.

For those three classes I would suggest picking up botany and maybe fishing as gathering classes. I'm currently leveling all three of those crafting classes along with leatherworker.. (yes, I'm crazy) and I have found those gathering classes to be extremely useful and gil saving. :)

CUL is my only crafting class and FSH is my only gathering class at the moment. I can tell you right now that FSH does *not* help CUL as much as people say it does (at least in the first 40 levels, which is where I am). Every now and then you get a recipe you can grind on, but primarily you will be using leves to level your crafts as they are BY FAR the best and most efficient way to level.

Always choose the leves that require multiple items to turn in, such as Walnut Bread or Acorn Cookies, for example. The triple turn ins (you need three of the item to turn in) may seem like it takes more, but those leves will ask for two more turn ins before the leve is considered complete, so it is essentially three leves for the cost of one allowance; very efficient. Combine that with HQ items and you're getting a HUGE bonus to efficiency! Once you get into the 20s or so, you should have no problem crafting HQ items all the time, with food at least. I'm not sure about the other crafts.

It's the same with other classes. I'm a Goldsmith and after about level 25 I learned a good ability rotation and I HQ most of the time. Especially cause ingredients like ingots that are required are lower level and easy to HQ, then the high-level recipes with HQ ingredients are much easier to once again HQ.

I'm leveling Weaver and I have a simple rotation for mats with 40 durability and lower level (30 progress) to HQ even on macros. It involves boosting yourself with Steady Hand, then use Waste Not (lv15 LTW) and pound out 5 straight touch ability. This way, it gives more chance that one of those will be Good or Excellent condition. Then I use Master's Mend to restore back to 40 dura and do another Steady Hand to 3 straight touch and finish with Careful Synthesis for 100% completion. This may require you to get CUL to 15 for Hasty Touch as the CP will be scarce. Steady hand twice is 44 CP, Waste not is 56 CP, Master's Mend is 92 CP so this requires at least 192 CP. I do have HQ accessories to increase my CP to 300+ though so I can use basic and standard touch to improve the chances. 8 touch action usually brings my cotton yarn to 80%+. If I don't HQ that, I can HQ the undyed cotton cloth about same chance. I haven't experimented with Great Strides and Inner Quiet yet.
