Miner ability "Deep Vigor" is 100% unusable outside of levequests

Following beta 3 gathering nodes were nerfed to have fewer attempts per node. However, the "Deep Vigor" ability was not adjusted accordingly, and it only activates on chain #4, which is 100% unattainable except on levequests, where the number of attempts per node was not reduced (otherwise they would have had to modify all the levequest objectives). However, there are no HQ items on these levequests, and the items are all specially for the levequest and can't be kept anyway.

This ability needs to be adjusted to work after chain 3, or it can never, ever be activated in normal gathering. Even then, it would only be able to be activated on nodes with +1 gathering attempt. I realize that the chain requirement is to keep the ability from being too good, but if it can't be used at all, then it has no point in existing.

There is an ability that grants one extra gathering attempt at a node.
Have you tried using that on a node that already have bonus +1 gathering attempts?

okay, sorry, is 98% unusable. This still seems like an oversight, because the ability stayed the same when the number of gathering attempts was reduced.

Even before the nerf, this ability was just an occasional perk. Now you can't use it at all unless you also use this other ability, only on an already boosted node, AND get chain 4.

Just wanted to check if it does work when going that extra step.
I agree that it is basically useless unless they adjust it (or revert the previous change).

Find Unspoiled Nodes, Toil of the Mountaineer + Sharp Vision (to get to 100%), then have at it, and oh look last swing allows you to use the Deep Vigor.

(Assuming you have high stats for your miner at 50.)

Considering how easy it is to get HQ items from gathering. Deep Vigor as it is, is fine.

15-20% HQ rate I wouldn't call "easy".
That's regardless of how much I stack Perception...

Oh please. You have abilities that boosts the HQ rate to 50%, and get HQ every other item. There's a reason why they're called HQ. they're high quality and supposed to be rare. Making HQ anymore common destroys the purpose of the rarity and value of "High Quality."

Plus, the 15%/20% HQ rate alone makes it likely to give you at least 1 HQ item per node. Give how fast and easy mining is, it's fine as it is.

Unearth II is at level 35.
Deep Vigor is a level 25 ability, which implies that's when you should be able to use it.

They did screw up when they changed the number of gathering attempts and didn't readjust other abilities at the same time.

And mining is only "fast" if you happen to be able to do it during off-peak hours.
The lag during peak hours slows it down considerably.

The one thing yall need to remember too, generally equal level (or maybe just 1 over and above) nodes will have about 4 attempts, but generally lower level nodes have 5 attempts for me, if i remember correctly. Generally atm, i'm able to activate it once and use it when mining normally, but if I use the +1 attempt skill (forget the name) it will give me 2 hits with deep vigor. So depending on the nodes, if i hit it every time, i can guarantee myself at least 1 hit with deep vigor.

I should also note most of the time i'm doing levequests, because i'm only lvl 32 miner.
