Chocobo Barding Missing

My chocobo normally wears a full set of Ul'dahn barding. I recently removed the body portion of the barding, to watch him flap his wings for a bit while running around with him. I went to re-equip the barding, but it was no longer available. The list was, and displayed the message "There is no gear to display". I've checked my inventory and everywhere else it might possibly be with to no avail. It's as though the barding was deleted the moment I took it off. I've also noticed that the other pieces of the barding set no longer have the option to just unequip them.
Any insight on what might be causing this and how I can fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the same issue that I had. If you had 1.0 barding and took it off your now up crap creek without a paddle. The only thing you can do is join a grand company and get new barding.
