RMT are now advertising crystal/shards - Shards need changed

Shards are in such a bad place right now, you need so many to level up crafts and make stuff that even RMT have hopped on the market and are posting it in their advertisements. Please give more efficient ways to gather shards SE. We need too many to level crafts and consume too many for how few ways there are to get them.

Just go and farm the crystals.

You know something, even when i look at the messages they shout, i still don't understand what they're saying.

By seeing this, I think I am right that WoW has brought a lot of negative impacts on MMORPG gaming. Everything must be hand it to you on top of a silver plate, otherwise it is a bad game design.:(

She's saying in general. Right now, there's no reliable way for anyone except gathering classes to get shards/crystals/clusters. And it's a huge hassle to level DoL at the moment. And, as a level 50 miner and botanist. I have to agree. Even for us, it takes a good while to get 1k shards for 1 element.

Seriously?? It's so easy to get them it just takes some of your time. I continue to be dumbfounded by the number of gamers that want things handed to them with 0 effort. The RMT sellers can sell them because they are actually super easy to get with some time on task.

I couldn't agree more. I hate these new expectations of MMO's. It's like a whole different game now designed for this new generation of gaming that promotes laziness and no sense of self worth because everything is so effortless.

One way I know of to get a quick boost in shards are the multiple turn-in levequests like the Alchemy one in Quarrymill called "The Wailer's First Law of Potion". If you're lucky, the reward will include shards (40+ if you're really lucky). So a triple turn could yield well over 100 shards, more if using HQ items. Worst case scenario is you break even on the shards you used the craft the items to begin with, best case is you wind up with 100 more shards than you had before. I will say though, I've had some terrible luck as of late and have only been getting sand as my rewards for various leves, even non multiple turn-ins.

Well yeah, it's easy to get 1 or even 99. But a craft can use 10~15 shards per synth. I farmed up 1k fire shards last night. I suspect that will last me about a hour and a half at most for my cooking.

This exactly. No matter your level, it is not like you can just farm shards with ease. And when levelling a DoL, you do not usually go after shards, because they are worth less than 10 exp. getting up to 15 shards per gathering point when using a 400GP ability is tough, getting 4 shards per point is mind numbing.
