WILL RELIC WEAPONS remain the best weapons till level 99 like in FFXI?

since they are upgradeable for now, but dont know if they have plans to make them obsolete in the future, anyone know if they are planning on keep FFXI legacy on relic weapons being best weapons in the game?

I just wanna know if the luminary tools are gonna be upgradeable or anything like that.

Sorry to burst your bubble tea milk but it does not seems that it will be the best weapon forever, until the next expansion update coming round. Relic, empy and mythic weapons kinda cease to be the best at FFXI - they all go in the way of iLevel gear upgrade now... for better or worse - quick play and instant gratification is the norm nowadays.

last I checked, relic weapons aren't currently the best in the game in XI (though that will change later0.

I fully expect we will be presented with different choices in the future, that aren't necessarily better or worse but offer options.

I don't know why you would think relics would be the best weapons to 99 just because they were good in XI for a bit. This isn't XI, and the only thing the two have in common is the name.

These are more along the lines of artifact weapons, but with an extra day or two of work.

I got the impression from reading "Producer's Letters" that Yoshi doesn't seem to love the idea of relic weapons but is following through with it because of time invested in 1.0. Personally I don't care I just hope there are alternate path's to good weapons besides primal's and the relic quest.

I personally don't think it will stay relevant like in XI, you have to remember in XI it took people over a year and in some cases people I know personally 3 years to complete thier weapon, when you compare that to a few weeks people won't get up in arms if it falls to the wayside, in XI's case it would have resulted in serious reprecussions.

allagan weapons are "better" than relic+1 or at least on par ....so dont think so
