Chocobo Auto-dismount when interracting with NPCs/Objects

Minor convenience issue. I understand from a game-play perspective why the game prevents you from interacting with quest objects/gathering points/NPCs/Vendors while mounted on the Chocobo. That said, I find it terribly inconvenient that the game doesn't just auto-dismount me when I try to interact with something and instead gives me a non-helpful error message.

If I select and try to interact with an NPC, it should just dismount me instead of the error message.

If I try to zone into a major city while mounted, it should just dismount me as I enter rather than give me a popup warning.

I don't want to fight while on the Chocobo, I don't need to buy goods from vendors while mounted, I just want the game to be smart enough to dismount me when I try to talk to the repair NPC.
