Something makes me confused about Stop Casting

Hello guys , first of all i can say the game rocks :)
im a huge fun of the game and really love it.

but i have a problem u can say it? whatever..

when i cast something and stop cast it with " esc " for example it takes 2-3 seconds to canceled .. for example in other games like wow , when u press esc the cast time get instant stoped .. why that here? is any bug or something? thank you for reading ,waiting for answers :)

I doubt stop casting will work in a game with a 2.5 second global cooldown.

That hasn't happened to me. Maybe you can try interrupting your cast by moving or jumping. That's usually how I do it, and it seems to work pretty quick.
