To the Amazing PUG..
I finally got access to The Navel (Hard) this evening. After, I watched videos; I felt I was ready to give it a try. The rotations seemed easy enough. However, I was nowhere near ready. I kept dying due to mistakes in timing and positioning. We wiped 5 times and then someone in the party said must be my 1st time (I was the only one dying). I spoke up and said it was.
Usually this is when people start leaving or I get yelled at for being a noob and GTFO. In fact this kind of e-hate happened a few days ago when I first tried to PUG Bowls of Embers (Hard), which made me not play for a few days.
Anyhow, to my surprise the other healer asked to be marked so I could follow her movements for the next round. Furthermore, someone else added "we all got to learn and start somewhere."
Unfortunately, I died and we wiped. Another party member then suggested we go on vent or set up a team speak. We wiped. Then another member started to type in the pattern because I couldn't get on vent.

So, in the end we wiped a few more and did not finish the duty. I expressed my gratitude and figured everyone would leave. Surprisingly the main tank said it was a bad combo party, and wasn't pointing the finger at me. Moreover some members stayed longer and gave me pointers on gearing up and upping my HP before trying Titan Hard again and emoted good lucks/cheers.
WOW! So refreshing! There ARE people playing in this game that DO want to help you; improve as a player and help the community grow positively.
I have NEVER gotten this level of kindness and support from a random pick up group.
BIG thank you and shout out to my PUG. You guys made my night!

That's fantastic. It's nice to hear some more positive experiences with the community. :)

This makes my heart melt. Maybe there is still some hope for the FF community!

Well this thread actually made my hope for DF increase a bit. I had this same issue on my WHM in Ifrit HM, never been before. My 1st few runs went swell, just my last 2 runs were just....well filled with hate :/. BUT im glad for one that these people actually helped you and offered pointers and tips! Good luck!

That's awesome.
Amazing that of all the instances in this game, the nice attitude was found in Titan .. killer of dreams, lol.

Always good to hear a nice story for once :)

Thanks to this thread and my past several DF experiences (even though my FC does runs all the time, I still queue up with DF for dungeons/primals I've got down pat because why the hell not), I would be fully supportive of a thread where we just sing praises to people we get matched up with in DF so it can be made known that there IS goodness to be found.

it can be very soul destroying to finally go in this one Hard Dungeon (generalization) and just fail and get bitched at. My first run in AK i did many mistakes and everyone just told me what to do and not panic. Now just keep this attitude when you are geared and have a relic's to other new players :p.

Yeah my first Titan experience was the exact opposite of yours. Was my first time but I've watched my roommate do it. Died ONE time cause my connection stalled, everyone raged at me to learn to evade and they all left after calling me every insult in the book.
