Relic Quest Abandoned Itself

I was progressing through my relic quest, for sch, got to the point where I need to kill Garuda (Hard), group failed, left the duty. My relic quest vanished from my journal on exit, and now the NPC is giving me the quest to start it from the begining. Err...what?

Fix this.

Hell no I have to redo all I lost 135k for doublemeld + hard work to kill chimera+hydra etc..
