Suggestion to change the flexibility of Mythic Tome Farming

I would like to start this thread off with the fact I'm perfectly ok Farming Mythic tomes and am not suggesting a way to make endgame gear obtaining "faster" or "easier".
I wish there was some way to either save up the 300 allowances similar to the way leve quests are. I'm not asking for a way to earn them "faster" just a way to put increase the pool cap by putting it on "hold",I feel that as FFXIV is trying to cater to both casual and hardcore players it seems a bit counter intuitive to introduce a cap mechanic but I realize it has it's place. What I'm asking for is a way to put your tomes on "hold" allowing you to gain a larger pool to a certain point (900 seems reasonable). This way if for example a player can't log on or perhaps is trying to promote a positive community by helping other lower level players they are not penalized for doing as such. If I didn't explain something in my idea thoroughly enough please feel free to ask.

I think you should be able to spend Myth stones to raise to cap on what you can get a week. say 100 increases it by 100 up to a 3,000 cap a week.

Kind of like roll-over minutes. Doesn't give you access to more any faster, just lets you change the timeframe for farming. I don't see how this would negatively effect any balance or fairness while increassing access to the gear for players.

Only thing: Maybe you have to have at least one 50 to start rolling over.

Exactly what I was thinking PiedPiper! (I agree on the mandatory lvl 50. maybe even going as far as completing main story line?)


Now it's time to just wait and hope an S.E rep reads these posts and relays these thoughts to the developers!

If I'm not mistaken, it is currently possible to earn mythic without finishing main story by clearing AV first to get access to AK. In which case, I would think a level 50 quest to unlock "roll over" would be fair.

ah I wasn't aware of the AV unlock. I agree a level 50 quest to unlock "roll over" would be fair.

IMO the "Cap" should only be for easy content.

Mythology from Binding Coil should ignore the weekly cap, IMO, since it's a raid with a lockout.

I also like the idea of spending tomes to increase the cap. But that may not work if they plan on increasing the cap with the next patch or something like that.

The only real annoyance I have is that People who just grind out AK every week will have the same amount of Relic gear as those doing end game raiding, which doesn't seem right to me.

It also doesn't seem right for the rich to get richer. I like even playing fields no matter what side I'm on. Yes, I'm not even 50 yet but you will probably be fully geared in Allagan gear by 2.1 when the majority of the population isn't.

I like the rollover and investing myth to raise your cap ideas. Raising the cap would probably defeat their design for people to play for months though.

End game raiding will actually give you more "relic" as it gives you the chance for equivalent drops. Ex: Get tanking body, can spend currency on other pieces. Granted, if you just think your AF2 is prettier and its what youw ant, no amount of allagan gear will speedt hat up.
