Anyone willing to help me get a FC off the ground?

The problem I've been running into is finding a free company to be a part of. Without fail, each one i have joined has been toxic. Constant bickering, no one willing to just hang out, chat, help with low level stuff, grind up new classes together...and while i realize different FCs will focus on different things, the ones i joined were supposed to be casual, friendly types.

So What i did was make my own FC where i could enforce a decent, mature environment. However, i have a great deal of responsibility to take care of outside of the game, and could not give the FC the proper attention it needs..

So thus far i haven't been able to get it off the ground! It is created, rank 2, etc..but i simply do not have the time or experience necessary to recruit or make it successful. I'm getting slightly desperate because i realize if i reach endgame without a competent FC to do things with, i am going to get very frustrated trying to accomplish anything..

Running a guild or free company is a huge time commitment that you really need a good core group of people to start off with. Starting from scratch with no one means that everyone is a stranger which makes it hard to give responsibility to those you haven't quite trusted yet so I know where your coming from.

Ruin has a pretty good environment going on right now with a good mix of higher and lower level players. We enforce teamspeak to do anything with the guild on so people get to chat and know each other but there's always players in a FC who won't want to contribute to the community of an FC.

I appreciate the positive response! And yes, it really is very hard to get things rolling alone. I have a pair of friends playing, but one is refusing to join in until i get at least a few people involved, and the other is kind of..useless outside of tanking. Has no desire to do anything with the FC.

Oh god not gamefaqs hahaha

I'm sincerely thinking about giving this up for awhile. Could always try again later i suppose when i have more free time...

It irks me that i blew 15k gil though.

We have separate ranking for Ps3 players and we have found ps3 players who do come onto teamspeak by either using their computer, a phone or a tablet. In fact one of our main tanks for one of our raid groups is a ps3 player and he's pretty beast at it.

It takes a bit of work but end of day thats the people we want in the free company (and the greater guild at large)

I'm running into the same problem with mine, though it stems more from the people that I started it to play with not coming online and actually playing. So i've been trying to find new players but right now the market is just saturated with FC because everyone has started one, so hopefully in the next few weeks the pool of players deepens and the FC glut kinda empties out. So i'm being patient and just going it alone right now, hell i've gotten Vengeance up to lvl 3 just by myself, but on that note, I am looking for others to group with so if youve got a linkshell full of people who actually play and chat lemme know, thanks.
