Story Sequence
I think SE needs to make the main story sequence required for the first time like the opening movie.
People should not be allowed to complain that someone watches the story their first time through the game. Yet they run ahead and kill the bosses without us and then whine that we did not help and got a free ride.
Skipping the story and doing the content would be like skipping to the last page of the chapter in a book to find out what happens then go back and read the chapter.
This is not fair or just. So rather than allow the blame to be placed on the players I think we need to have it set in stone that it is not their fault and they should not feel obligated to do this for the other players.
The other players should feel obligated to wait for the ones that would like to enjoy the story of this game. And the events should not be allowed to start until all players are free of the cut scenes as well.

They can bitch all they want, but they can't force you to skip them, and thankfully the game doesn't show you the chat log while you're in a cutscene, so you don't have to watch them bicker until it's over.
The people telling you to skip can go suck it.

This is from the farmers at higher levels. I know one told me after I got out of a CS "Hello, and its proper etiquette to skip the cutscenes" I was like huh?
-
Yeah I watched them and the group beat the dungeon mostly without me. Not my fault

I had someone with a ton of pre-prepared messages yesterday in Castrum introduce themselves with "Hello! Welcome to the CM speedrun please skip all cutscenes and watch them at the inn, etc, etc". Now I'm only there for the tomestones myself but if somebody wants to soak the story up and enjoy the ride (first timer or not) then that's their business and I'm glad they're enjoying the game.

I usually ask if anyone is doing a first time run, that way I know if I should slow things down for them to enjoy the story. I don't think it is fair to have players miss out on something SE put so much work into making so wonderful.

I had this happen to me for the first time last night. I honestly had no idea pricks like this existed.
Its kind of disturbing to have someone try and tell you that you can't enjoy the game the way it was made.
