Timeworn Thyrus location

I'm in the early stages of getting my relic weapon as I've only just hit 50. I've gone to the mines to grab the timeless Thyrus but I can't find it..... Do I kill mobs in here to get it?

Should be in the upper part of the mines, near the end. A red circle was shown to me on the map when I did it, letting me go right to it.

I know this is a bit late to the conversation, but to help anyone that might google this as I did...
When you see the red circle for the location in the Ugamaro mines (Spelling?)
Its in the Northeast of the Red Circle...
The tricky part is you enter the circle from the south, but have to exit the circle on the most west side...
head north, and than theres a small hidden hallway that takes you back into the red circle location...
and sure enough theres a small area that says "Destination", even though the quest says it will be in a coffer...
Its actually a small area you click...
Also to be noted theres a FATE named "Full Metal Alchemist" that spawns DIRECTLY on top of where the location of the Thyrus is...
Its easier to just wait for the fate to end, and run in and grab it.
Hopes this helps any White Mages looking for it...

I had trouble finding this one too. It was a sort of precursor to the rank 2 Amalj'aa beast tribe quests, another instance where quest targets like to spawn at the very edge of the map marker to screw with you, except there it was worse because of the terrain.

Thank you SO MUCH for this!!! I was running around searching the Northern tip for like 20 minutes before I gave up and decided to Google it... found this thread, followed your directions, then found the Thyrus.
