LONG GCD and Paladin = boring @ endgame?

Am i the only one which gets totally bored @50 with those 2,5sec GCDs we still have?
(2,49sec if u got the relic shield with the +7 skill speed)

-I can even write in chat between my skills
-I can just look away from my monitor and chill
-I can stand still and press a key in a while and still nothing happens even in coils of bahamut (atm turn4 @50%)
-Combat is "slow"
-the few "instants" i got don´t cover those "2,5" wait wait wait wait press key again scenarios.

How can every gametester overlook such a behaviour? Combat as Tank doesn´t feel "fluid" at all. Some other classes get 30% skillspeed as passive f.e. why dont we get something like that.

2.0sec GCD would be ok
1.5sec GCD would be great

2.5 is just tooooo long :(

I rather like the longer gcd. Its more important to select the right skills at the right time. You can't just spam the right skill a second later with little repercussion. However, instant skills should be instant. We should be able to weave instant skills inbetween weapon skills.

That "some other classes" is monk and we only get 15% attack speed having to build up and maintain. If everyone gets that, what's the point of rolling a lower potency per hit? You're not supposed to do damage or anything....

Well from DPS or whatever standpoint, they could lower potency and just give us more to "press".
For me its just not near the fluid gameplay of other mmos.. and thats a disadvantage.. the "u have to think" about spellusages is let me say it "crap" u r pressing 1, 2, 3 and repeat. I got no scenario where i had to think for 2.5secs what i should use next ever... :(

Play a WAR? May not be as viable, but at least it's more interesting!

Less room for error thats for sure, but you could be a WAR. You'll be hated by pretty much all end game progression, but you'll have a good time thats for sure!

This is in fact a slow game much like ffxi was. It's cross platform, to provide the same experience across both platforms it is built as such.

This is how the game is at the moment, we gotta just accept it it's not as fast paced as other mmorpgs.
