1000 Character limit per post? Really?

Sorry Square, but I don't understand why this needs to be a thing.

English speakers, particularly those who have reasonable command of the language should not be penalized for using big words or explaining their thoughts fully. Nor should they have to make several posts within the same thread continuing or re-explaining things they could have covered initially. Or worse, having to cut out large portions of the response that may be important.

English words and concepts (as well as those in French or other languages) generally take up more characters than ones in Japanese as a point of fact.

If a post is too long winded, people should know well enough what to read or what to skip over based on their own decisions.

Spammers will spam, regardless of character limit.

Again, this only hurts intelligent discussion on these forums.

Eastern mmo developers = Restrict everyone till they go nuts and make games as linear as possible, so i wasn't really surprised to see that there were restrictions on their forums. Still, restrictions like 1000 letter cap as well as the 2-3 posts a day are just frustrating and cause more anger than necessary. Impossible to explain certain things in detail because when you're halfways through writing your post, it's already at 2500+ letters. At least that's the case for me anyways.

Saqure-Enix and Yoshida should start to realize that they sell their product to the world AND NOT TO JAPAN ONLY and this is far from being the only aspect of the game that is way less handy for non-Japanese customers (who said server localisation for Europe ?!).

So please stop treating non-Japanese customers, and especially European ones currently, are second class customers.
