Dear Inviters
Please don't let an invitation be your introduction to me. If I haven't talked to you, haven't had some kind of discussion with you, your invitation to join your FC / Linkshell / Party is unwelcome.
I find Party invitations to be particularly unwelcome. They pop up, stop me from doing my fighting against the mob o' the moment until I deal with them. The answer is always negative, but it stops me from fighting effectively for several seconds. And if I turn down your party invitation, and you invite me again? You've just become a jerk, in my book.

I think your missing his point that before you send an invite send a tell. Especially for me when somebody sends an invite for a fc without any tell am I supposed to decide based off the name?
-
I simply decline it and move on, though it does get annoying when you see the same FC randomly sending invitations to you several times in a day.
OP this thread really wasn't needed.

At times I do find it a bit annoying, when I want to be by myself. And yeah, I'm in the middle of fighting, and suddenly pop-up.
But mostly I welcome it, it's nice to do stuff with others from time to time. Invite even more and hey, we're laughing it up and becoming friends.
I still wish they'd send me a tell first at least.

I've had this happen. Some complete stranger invites me to a party. I decline. He invites me again, and I decline. Seriously!? What compelled you to invite me the second time!? You thought maybe I'd changed my mind?
I think it might have been because I was taking part in a FATE at the time, so maybe he thought I wanted to join his stupid FATE-grinding party. I can do without that nonsense, but I understand that is other people's idea of a "good time." Even so, if I wanted to join a FATE-grinding party in the vicinity, I'd say so. And if you're looking for more people for your group, you can also say so. Don't just randomly invite every stranger around to your party. And when they decline, don't invite them again.

Blind FC invites are ridiculous. The party ones usually make sense contextually, like when you're competing with someone for pops or you just reached the same instance entrance at the same time.
