PLEASE if you are attempting Garuda HM through duty finder for the love of hades watch a video on the fight and gear up for those who are most likely in there farming, it is ridiculously frustrating seeing multiple people who lack stats.

never, ill toss my body at boss it in blinding faith that the other players in my party know what to do.
PS. i level from 1-50 in fates so you have to gear me aswell.
Hey instead of being such an elitist ---- try getting your FC to put a group in there, like most of the really experienced players do and leave the duty finder to the noobs and inexperienced guys who need to learn the tactics. Remember believe it or not no matter how good you think you are, you were a noob and undergeared once.
This isn't about having full dark light gear this is about not going into a raid blind, gear doesn't make a good player, tactics do! Gear just means you won't fall short
if you want to farm Garuda i would say do it with your FC it takes 5-10 min for a experienced group to kill her and within the 90 min timmer the whole group should have a wapon so plan a farming day with your FC and leave the people in the DF to learn and enjoy the fights for the first time
Hm i did Garuda a few Times with duty finder, sometimes i have tanks with not even a piece of darklight and its mostly luck if he survives, because 95% to 0 is possible in one hit. My first time Garuda was with 4 darklight and full 50 stragegos, so i dident hinder the group and we could kill her without a problem.
I'm not in a FC as I can't seem to find players who have the same intentions as myself so iv to use the duty finder instead, if I could find a group of players to hang with and they were raiding I would happily join them but until that time i have to stick to the duty finder, sorry if I came of as an "Elitist" I can assure you I am far from it
You can also do what a lot of people do and gather a group through /shout what will also help you find players with the same goals as yourself and a lot of freinds to do future raids with and not take it out on poor DF groups that go to see the fight and learn the mechanics
Learning a fight is natural but before i go into a fight such as garuda, i'll always have a quick look online which takes 10 mins and saves alot of time wiping to stuff easily avoided. i dont think its about being elitest or whatever you want to call it, but to repeatedly run into people who dont care enough to put in a small bit of effort to look up a few things is very frustrating. If 7 people including new comers put the effort into researching little facts about a fight why should they have their time wasted by a lazy 8th member?
