Need some Info

I need someone who played the first FFXIV

I'm so confused because i bought a realm reborn yesterday and today i logged into my old 1.0 account on accident(I thought i tried to login with it before and it didnt work) now I'm confused as to if i had to even buy realm reborn at all.. I know its just a 3 day trial.

after the trial is up would i have to buy the full game or just set up a sub?

and does anyone know if SE would do something like an account merge or just transfering the registration code over so that i can play my old 1.0 characters that were leveled up.

I would go read the faq before opening the new one. From what I understand 1.0 gets a free download...you need to find older threads. They are everywhere. Good luck!

You do not have to buy FFXIV ARR if you own a copy of FFXIV 1.0.

Yeah, i apologize, that was answered. anyone know if they do anything like account merges or registration code transfers? i put a ticket in but i'm not real hopeful about it.. kinda sucks having a account ill never use :/

If you bought another PC copy, then you are likely SoL. If you bought a PS3 copy, then they will merge it or transfer the registration.

Also, you did not get a '3 day trial'. All 1.0 Players got until 9/9 before the extra 7 days, which puts it at 9/16. That is why your 1.0 Free Play ends in 3 days.

Yeah its the PC version, Why would that make a difference though? :(

I'm okay with staying with this account... like, No big deal. But it would be really nice to have my 1.0 character. Wish i hadn't wasted the money but its my own fault for not doing the research.. I tried a few of my common logins and they didnt work so i assumed it didnt transfer... I blindly entered in my login details today trying for this account and to my surprise i put in my 1.0 account details and it worked >.>

It makes a big difference because you can only register 1 PC and 1 PS3 Registration code per Service Account. When PS4 version comes out, you'll be able to register 1 PS4 service account to it as well.
