Where is the AI?

Is there any AI in this game?

Everything, EVERYTHING is scripted. *Mob gets to x hp, does x move*

Pets, trash, bosses, npcs.

If they could add AI to this game, it would make a very interesting mmo, for one, no mmo has any type of AI that I know of. So, is there any plans on adding some AI to at least trash and bosses. Bonus if pets got AI, interaction with you and the world and had different personalities. This is a P2P mmo right?

No EVE online doesn't.

And this must be your first video game...or first mmorpg.

Boss fights are suppose to be like that, this isn't an action game where you need good reflexes to survive its an RPG where you need to learn the mechanics to survive.

Yeah the mob AI could always be better but then, mobs are not suppose to get people stuck...you spend a short time killing mobs and most of your time in these games in dungeons and raids (or crafting/gathering)

Yeah super intelligent AI would be nice, but then too many people would get stuck on a lv3 lady bug who takes advantage of the fact that you are level 1 and it knows you just got a quest to kill them and are weak and new to the mechanics, so they gang up on you or trick you into targeting a teant or something...and now your a level one getting screwed over by an unholy alliance of lady bugs squirrels and mushrooms and you just want to....well you get the point.

this made me giggle

It WOULD be nice if our chocobos and the NPCs moved out of AOEs instead of just standing in them.

The AI should be progressively smart... And you don't need to be an action game to have ever changing fight with unpredictability. X mob does this, you react to it by doing that. Simple as that, you don't even need to be an action game, you can be a turn based game and have smart AI. Mobs that react to what you do and you react to what mobs do. Would make a very fun game.

Give me an example of how you want to mobs to react. Because for me, you are the one who should be reacting in a mmorpg.
