Well people where fighting in that forum with the guy that was in the screen shots, so it was doing more bad than good really.
If you have an issue with another player there is a harassment report available for you to fill in, in-game.
Using the forums as your own personal vendetta/vent is inappropriate.
That's why it was locked.
Ah, I see. I was just thinking how nice it would be if there's some sort of hall of shame (with actual proof, and JUSTIFIED proof) because of all the rampant bad behaviour. I guess it does have its drawbacks.
Posting shocks to discredit anyone isn't allowed. It has been clarified by GM's and forum moderators numerous times. THe fact it was ignored shows a lack of proper restraint.
There have been accastions on this forum Where a person posts captures about conversations with issues they claim, and it included my name and I posted back "I am sorry I was there and this is not how it went" after it was claimed everyone "agreed with him" nut we did not.
Sometimes things are not as they appear, and people who instigated attacks on another try to manipulate the situation to make them look innocent.
It's hard to know what SE will be able to do to countermeasure all those people sabotaging dungeon runs. From people who bail to people who purposely stay and not do anything. I can see a vote kick working, but it can also work against someone else, using the example if there's 3 people in the party that just don't want to group up with someone who is new to the dungeon, and when they find out, they're all instantly going to vote kick them, when them did nothing wrong. I guess the odds are that are slim, but meh /shrugs.
I was also thinking that a countermeasure for people who would leave the dungeon for stupid reasons was to not let them leave until a certain percentage of the dungeon was cleared, but then they'd resort to not moving until the players kicked him, in the end, they got what they wanted. Perhaps give these people a huge exp loss penalty? But again, that could mean that an innocent person would get penalized as well if they got in a group with the wrong kind of people.
I really have no idea what can be done, but one thing is for sure, the devs are aware of this problem, and it's only getting worse every day.
I didn't see the thread, but from what y'all are saying people posting screen shots and stuff can be altered so I dunno if I would trust that as there is usually a lot more than what was first stated.
As far as the vote to kick option, I think we DO need one. There are just too many jerks in this game, atm, not to have one. I know it WILL be abused, as it was abused when it was put in in WoW, but it is a better solution than nothing, IMO.
