Not allowed to register CE on existing service account...

I think I am a man of reason but seriously is SE fucking kidding me?
Did a company just scam me for 30 bucks?

I bought the CE of FF:XIV AAR despite already having a CE account from V1.0. I just thought yea let’s get those bonus items, the early access and 30 free days.

The early access code worked fine and I was able to play, I also got the CE items unlocked with it.
I got a few free days for my purchase/abo time on v1.0 as well.
So was able to play past the release date without registering anything.

But then I tried to register the CE I bought on my already in use service account. I got the “code is invalid” messages.
I contacted support and now after 10 bloody days they finally decided to answer me by saying:

“Hey dude nice of you to have bought that from us but guess what? Screw that: You are only allowed to register the CE on a new service account.
So screw your old service account if you want to have those 30 free days! Murhaha!“

WHAT THE FUCK? :mad:

That's actually quite standard. The free 30 days are only for new accounts. As your old service account already has FF14 registered to it, you can't register it again. You did get the bonus items and things, but the base game can't be registered twice to the same service account.

The only way to apply CE to a service with an already registred game is an normal -> CE upgrade.. not sure if they already sell those
