BLM Level 3 Limit Break

It seems that in the role of doing damage in the limit break department, Metor does absolutely nothing from what I'm told and that Pug's or Drags do the most damage which doesn't make any sense to me honestly. Feels like with all the high damage we BLM's do, out 3rd level limit break would be amazing in the damage department but I've never been allowed to use it. Everyone screams at me in dungeons that its useless and doesn't do anything. Can someone verify/clarify this please? Or did we get shafted..?

Summoner, which shares BLM limit break ability is pretty much the same thing.

All joking aside. The mage Limit break ability is actually pretty handy for certain situation, given that it is a pretty damaging AoE. Ifrit's nail is a good example of very useful situation, as well as Garuda's sisters in the third time they spawn.

The Black Mage limit break does high amounts of damage to multiple targets, the Monk/Drg LB is to deal lots of damage to a single target. You job as a black mage is to LB multiple targets: nails on ifrit, adds and such.

for example when garuda summon those damn feathers in hard mode

It would be more useful vs her adds. The feathers should not need to be limit breaked. A couple good AOE's will kill them before they even move.

It's kinda sucky is all. We're the slowest to attack due to casting times, made up for with high damage, and I guess the limit break trailer showing off the BLM LB was just for show since it was used on one boss. I just get a feeling unless I go out of my way to piss everyone off and "steal" the LB is the only time I'll see the Meator. :(

just try ifrit/garuda hard
you won't have to steal it, you'll be asked to unleash your meteor

asking for AOE meteor LB to deal the same damage/higher than SINGLE target LB is ridiculous
the damage isn't even shared

there are endgame fights where you pretty much need a meteor or life is going to suck. hold your horses. and no a meteor shouldn't do more single target damage than final heaven.

Individual jobs having unique limit breaks? Sorry we can't have that kind of nonsense we have to boil it down to 4 options.
