Summon Targeting
This is really starting to annoy me. Which boxes do I need to uncheck in targeting or filters to stop targeting my carbuncles. It seems like if they are anywhere in my field of vision I always default click to them with my X button.
Right now I have nothing but monsters, and aggro monsters clicked, yet I still always end up targeting my damn pet.
Also as a side note is there a way to remove pressing R1 when a summon is out which tabs to your + tab. I really dont have any need to command my pet in any way, so I could care less about that menu.
I am starting to get second level spells, and have run out of room on main bar. I have set up a secondary bar, yet when I have a summon out it just defaults to my main bar and my pet bar. I know you can hold down the button and manually click, but I would really like to have quick action to my secondary skills.

For the targeting thing, I come across that same issue as well as the opposite.
It's like when I don't want to target mine or someone else's summon I do, but when I want to to heal them I can't >_>;
To get rid of the pet hotbar:
System >> Character Configuration >> Hot Bar Settings >> Cross >> Untick 'Use pet hotbar.'
What I'm trying to figure out is how to keep the pet hotbar active while still being able to have access to my main tab and the R1 quick tab.
I want to be able to command my pet every once in a while but still have my abilities mapped on the cross hotbar but I'm finding it difficult to setting that up >_>;

Well thank you kind sir. That pet hotbar removal will be nice for me. As for your problem the only thing I could think of is to add whatever commands you like into one of your skill bars, then you can quick tab to it if you need it. Other wise i have no idea.

Yeah, I ended up doing that because it was frustrating me too much to try to figure out if there was a way to access all three bars.
I guess it's fine since I don't need some of the pet commands anyways like Place and Stay.

I get frustrated with summon targeting while tanking. Even with my filters, I need to keep NPC targeting active if I want to target an NPC in a dungeon or populated FATE. Carbuncle and Ifrit annoy me to no end.

Well hopefully they will throw in an update that adds Target Summons/Pets in the near future.
