I don't know if this has anything to do with setting the mood for what is coming but I have been in Thanalan about 5 times in the last few hours and the music is gone. At first I thought it was the sound effects of the wind storm blocking it out but I just don't hear it at all. I have my music turned up too and I head music in other places...anyone else?
its been like that since the morning, at first i thought it was my end and restarted PC and stuff until i asked other LS members and they couldnt hear it too...

Indeed there's no music, and the sand storm seems like it's not going to stop... I also noticed a lot of rain in the Black Shroud, but that's not a surprise after reading the last announcement.

Ok sweeeet I'm excited now, this is gonna be awesome, but I hope we don't get a sand storm for a week straight before anything else happens, I hope this happens soon! :D Can't wait.
EDIT: and wouldn't you know it soon as I say this the sand storm stops lol, but music still gone.
Same in Bodhum. Several people noticing it being missing.
Seems like SE's hidden info ninjas provided some tweaks and changes to last patch that changed the world a bit. Next patch better be worth all of this hype.
