Inn Bed
I ran into this interesting feature that I couldn't use in the game and was wondering if it was taken out when the game went live:
"If you exit the game via the Feather Bed, upon logging back in, you will occasionally find an item in the bed if you "examine the bed" based upon the dream you had. One hour (Earth time) needs to pass in order for a dream to occur. Players may also have a "Nightmare" cutscene one time only pertaining to the coming of the Seventh Umbral Era."
This would be really cool...Is there a reason they took it out?

Probably because it was connected to the winding up of service of 1.0, and the 'nightmare' cutscene indeed related directly to it (it was of Nael van Darnus striking the player down after seemingly having slaughtered every other living thing in Eorzea - an interesting metaphor for the then impending fall of Dalamud). Not to mention after the save maintenance SE actually had it that players got relic weapons by checking the bed in that way.
It was a nice little feature, but I guess players would soon end up with clogged inventories if items were given out again in such a way. ;)

Well true it's another inventory space...but it would be cool to see some more of this kind of depth added to the game...especially if there were cutscenes for the dreams/nightmares...I really like seeing my character hehe.

Hecking the bed was definitely a part to be missed from 1.0.
