Hit Cap? Does it exist?

Is anyone aware if there is a hit cap for physical/magic attacks? If so how much accuracy is necessary to reach the cap?

General consensus is for same level enemies, the base amount that you get from your gear (same level gear, at least), is more than enough accuracy to never miss.

So never materia in accuracy, or specifically look for it.

if I remember you need only around 420-ish accuracy to never miss at 50. yet people seem to gear for ridiculous amounts of accuracy anyway

You really have no control out of how much of one stat you get. Since you can't materia high end gear nor do the stats vary. Everyone will eventually just be wearing the exact same thing since there aren't multiple pieces you can choose from like other MMOs.

If your level matches your target's level, you will hit 95% of the time completely naked (341 ACC). You only need one or two more pieces of ACC gear to hit 100% of the time. When you reach Bahamut's Coil, you will need to gear a lot more ACC to reach 100% again.

you need 450+ for bahamut coil

Nope, 452 here and still some miss

You have no control on stat anyway since there is no materia slot (stupid).

Eh? There's plenty of materia slots, unless you're in full Allagan/AF+1.
