Considering how GP regenerates, over a long mining session the initial GP provides a nearly negligible bonus. The only thing that I can think of that use it is the pretty terrible quantity ability. Now I am wondering does this change late game or is this just a useless stat.
Reaching a certain level of GP helps you get more HQs out of Unspoiled nodes, but beyond that, yeah it's not too important.
you need 600 gp after that its pointless unless you want to push it to 650 to increase your chances to max as far as hitting hq nodes is considered.
