vanya items set ( weaver ilv70 )

I've recently purchase 9 potash from market board and made a vanya robe of casting.
But it seems that the darklight gear is better?

I've HQ the vanya robe of casting and melded it with 3 lvl 3 crit materia, and 1 lvl 3 deter materia. Would anyone know if this is better than the darklight body piece now? or just equal?

Surely you can look at the stats and compare for yourself? Database websites don't list the values of HQ gear yet, so only someone who also has an HQ robe already could make the comparison for you. Also, whether it's superior or not is highly dependent on your headgear, since Darklight is a cowl (body + head), whereas the Vanya is simply a robe (body).

I believe that HQ melded iLvl70 gear can be superior to Darklight, but that's just a guess since I don't know how good the HQs are.

HQ iLvL70 is superior than Darklight, stats will be comparable to Af2 once the piece is penta melded. The only point that AF2 has an advantage is more primery stats -- which is the foundation of your character.

*I see if you are coming from a new server, there's a severe lack of T4 materias. Again it only works with maxed out iLvL70 HQ + 4-5 Tier IV materias.

stats comparable to af2? thats a no. AF2 will be better than your vanya robe, especially when the ilvl restriction of the content doesn't let you go in with that vanya robe. The defenses, int, vitality, other 2 stats will be much higher than the stat capped stats of the vanya robe. Being able to add a few materia doesn't make it better than the af2.

This especially holds true for tank gear. More defense and HP wins, and af2 gives you it. i'lvl70 crafted gear gets replaced just like darklight by higher ilvl gears.

Also, the reason you see your vanya robe not being better than the darklight robe is because the darklight robe is a head and a chest combined, with combined stats and defenses. You would have to make the hat or a rose gold circlet as well.

the stats for the HQ robe is +20vit, +20INT, +27accuracy, +13determination

non HQ version robe is +16vit, +18INT, +21accuracy, +10determination

and I melded crit rate +6 x 3 , and a determination +4 in it

But looking at the darklight, it feels like it is weaker somehow.

Anywho, if i were to sell this , how much would this worth on a non legacy server?

Some HQ vanyas with similar stats on Hyperion were trading between flippers for about 1.5-3 mil, {That's too bad.}

With vanya vs darklight, you need to remember that the darklight body is body+head slots. So you need to compare that to vanya body + head.

Quick comparison (using the NQ stats as I dont have the full HQ stats).

Bump that up to hq and the def differences will more or less vanish (I only have hq hands to check with, but HQ vanya hands is +8 def +15 mdef over nq, so fair to assume similar on head/body)

The vit difference will likely vanish (4 int gained on body alone)
The int difference will drop to 1 or 2 at worst
The acc will drop to 16
so you lose a little bit of acc, a chunk of spell speed, but gain a chunk of det and 4 meldable slots.

So all in all, hq vanya unmelded is on a par with darklight cowl and when melded will beat it
