ok so I bought the standard edition and I should get 30 day free trail but of course im 1.0 and we carnt use the code for it and mine is physical copy iv made 2 tickets about this and no response what so ever yet for about 2-3 weeks my sub is coming to a end and all I want is for them to give me my 30 days I paid for now I just wanted to know from player base if any else has had this issue and what you did to sort it or if it isn't sorted yet
While I can't say anything for FFXIV in particular, but all other mmo's only give the 30day free period once. So you don't get it with expansions and the like.
Being that you are a 1.0 account holder (as am I) we would have already received the 30day free period. But with this being a re-release it gets tricky.
well I do understand that but like with EVE online I played that for 5 years and half way through they released a disc and I bought that been a fan but was still able to use the 30 day with my current account as it was treated as a GTC so I really don't understand why we carnt use the 30 day we got with this disc even is we carnt get the items we should get the 30 days as it is technically like buying a GTC if you understand what I mean not good at explaining lol
I'm in the same boat.
But, this is being marketed as an entirely new game and they should honor those of us who have purchased both 1.0 and 2.0. My early access runs out in four days time and I hope they reply to either this or the ticket i submitted last week.
I need a sunscription, that sounds nice.
this is pretty much the only thing stopping me from resubbing as I don't want to resub when iv got 30 days I should be able to use its just not right
They had the same policy with FFXI as well, you can buy the game as many times as you want, but the 30 days with each game can only be used for completely new accounts. Sorry!
Don't bother contacting support they will not give you the 30 days free if you are a 1.0 player that bought a PC copy, 1.0 players were given ARR(2.0) on PC + 15 days for free. Only way to get 30 days free if you bought the PS3 version.
