Hard to dodge with late aoe

I'm on a wireless PS3 and most of the time the aoes will show on the screen for 0.1 second then I suddenly take damage. Even if I dodge it IMMEDIATELY, I take damage, so what..? Do I need a faster internet or something?

This is a problem for pretty much everyone. Sure, I can see the red warnings for a few seconds but I sometimes still take damage even if I move the exact moment the mob starts casting. I hope they can do someting about it soon!

Yup. Like me, I usually became character sacrifice in dungeon =( and when I win , I got 4752 gils plus exp. But turn back again for repair suit cost around 500+ gils each round , it reward is ain't worth. Everytime I got 1 Koed from bee, Titan, Golem soul etc.. , we have to repair more than 10+. Why needed to repair while we die in dungeon? hmmmm No wonder most of us is ain't rich

Was doing the primal fights last few days and each time playing I had some lag wherein players were standing still for 1-2 seconds. Made it so hard to avoid the moves.

Bump! I doubt I'll be able to do lv50 dungeons without being reported by those damn elitists.
I'd like to know if my internet is too slow or notl,

It's not slow, it really is latency issues, everyone has to get out of the AoE 1 to 2 seconds early.

I have 1.5Mbps and I can play fine, but when the server is full, the latency issues come in. It only happens to me when the server is really load, in P4 I had no problem with Latency at all, so I'm taking a guess that the number of players if putting a lot of stress on the server, and even though the server can handle it, it's causing the delays we see in AoEs

How do you dodge an AoE 1-2 seconds early? Some attacks don't have a cast bar...Also does the latency issue affect everyone in a dungeon(doesn't seem so)? The lag makes me look a noob.

I do not really think it is latency, since Chat and the like does not show that behaviour. Also I can ping the server and get about 50-80 ms. You also seem to be able to cast, start running and still see the castbar continue for about some fraction of a second. Some people once said it might be some kind of synchronisation problem between server and client.

Anyway, it does make some fights rather hard, if the cast takes 1 second and you have to be out of the area, about 0,5 seconds before it ends. :/
