Strickly Warrior - Thoughts, rents, and ideas

I've played FF11 for about 2 years when it was 1st release in Japan, and I loved every aspect of warrior; able to utilize whatever weapon that is available and dealing dmg or tank at will.

In WoW, warriors do the same, duel weld 2 1h weapons for consistent dps, using massive 2h weapons for burst dps, or 1h weapon + shield to protect the ally.

In FF14... well... its very disappointing. I've never really recall any mmorpg limited warriors to use only 2h axe... At this stage, I feel like I am a half dps, half tank, with mo real meaning to be part of the game.

Warrior by definition from the earliest FF series is defined as a job that:

“Specializing in combat, the Warrior has high attack and defense and can wield any weapon.”

ok... so 14th generation later, we "evolved" into using 2h axe only???

In short, I feel like I am playing DK from WoW and a weaker version of that =(

Where's my diversity and complexity?

Would love if warriors could wield dual axes or something like they did in FFXI.
