RIP Kiting (Atleast in Dungeons?)

It happened.

Someone got ahead of the group, and a nice big 10 foot suit of armor has suddenly one shot the healer with a lucky crit. The healer goes down, and the tank and melee DPS are already on their last legs. You get the armor to about 10 percent health, having delt with the other mobs with the DPS you have, before you're the last one. The ranged DPS.

Pop sprint, mash Invigorate for TP Regain, and start running the opposite way while kiting the hell out of the mob. You've done this before, You got this!

-- But then the armor comes up and smacks you anyway, wasting a rather epic moment for the party, for yourself.

I've kited the boss of AK two times due to bad luck, and each one felt great, pulling of Misery's End to finish the job. Heck, I even kited a Succubus in the room before the boss (Blunt Arrow and LoSing her casts.)

While I welcome Square's effort to fix the speed run issue, did they really need to speed up the monsters as well?
