I did I make a mistake?
I picked Limsa for my home nation city and already it reminds me of Windurst from 11. That is being a complete nightmare to navigate through and unable to find anybody there. Since my character is only a few minutes old technically I won't feel too bad if I reset everything but is there a way to switch cities to something like Ul'Dah for probably a fee like in FF11?

Nah man, just head to Ul'dah like everyone else. I started in LL and spend most of my time in Ul'dah since the wards actually have items and people are actually present. (Take the boat, head east, go south when the road forks, and watch out for aggro mobs.) Enjoy ^^

just port to uldah, why reroll?
-
Because he mentioned he hadn't met any people in LL, he's new so he probably doesn't want to shell out for a port, and you don't automatically get the city ports when you start. Once again - Take the boat, head east, go south when the road forks, and watch out for aggro mobs. Enjoy ^^
Edit: Touch the Aetheryte at Camp Horizon on the way, this will set your home point there, and keep you on the safe side.

If you haven't done much on your character you can delete and make a new one and start in Ul'dah. Limsa and Gridania are relatively empty most of the time except for a few people.

I'm trying to navigate my way there now. Limsa is a nightmare to walk through it took me an hour to find the tiny arrow that led me out just so i could go out and lvl abit. I can't wait to somehow find my way to the other city.

To find the boat, go back to the city and run all the way straight through the bottom level. The ferry docks are on the far side when you are coming from the gate to the outside area.

Grid maybe semi dead, but it will always be my home XD
