Damage over time abilities

Hi,

Is there currently a way to seperate out my DoTs from everyone else, other than the countdown being green it's very difficult on a boss fate or dungeon to keep track of when these expire other than timing my rotation which, in itself isn't an impossibility however would prefer a simpler option.

Nope but it has been suggested in the UI forum and suggestion forums. Desperately needed!

I constantly have this issue when theres even just one more SMN or sometimes a SCH. Never had such a hard time finding my own debuffs in an mmo before.

Therein lies the problem for ALL summoners.
We primarily deal with DoT management, constantly checking that our DoTs are on the enemey and re DoT them for maximum efficiently.
Sadly, t is near impossible to track our DoTs at the current state with the current UI setup, our individual DoT's should be displayed, Bigger or Bolder or high-lighted to separate it from the rest of the groups DoTs...

Only thing I can think of is maybe doing a macro with a /wait command coupled with /echo command to let you know when to reapply your dots. That way only you would see it. Downside is having to pay attention to the chat log but you can just make it a really bright text color that stands out in options so it catches your eye.

So basically:

/ac (insert X skill here)
/wait (however long the duration is)
/echo (Reapply X skill)

I think those are the commands...as a DRG, we don't use them really so I could be wrong but you know what I mean. This would be a viable solution until SE deals with the debuff icon issue.

Dunno if its on my end only, but whenever I use another action, the current macro stops, so even if you do /wait 18 and then /echo msg, it will kill the macro as soon as you use another ability

You cannot reliably do that with SMN since contagion will add to the duration of our DoT's. Unfortunately.

macro a /se.number1-17 (ex: /se.5) after a/waitDuration-of-the-dot to your spellcasts. the game will play a sound effect when your dots reach the end of their duration, prompting you to reapply.
