NO more gil...
When everyone has hit 50 and the quests run out and we have blown all our gil on trying to level crafting or gear repairs where are we supposed to find more gil?? I see lots of gil sinks teleporting repairs etc but it doesn't seem that SE has looked well into being able to sustain a respectable gil income when we are at level 50.

I believe this topic has been discussed into the ground in several other threads/topics. If not found on the first page in this general section, try at least the next three pages. You'll see the debate raging on about what people do and don't do for creating gil (not just gil transfer). Instead of starting your own topic add your voice to those topics that have already been started about the same thing. :)

High Fives to all of us smart enough to go crafting first realizing how this game works. Sitting on 4mil atm on new Siren server. So easy to make money in this game if you put in the work...
Now its time to level battle class. Way I see it all these 50's that rushed doing fates now just wanna QQ that they rushed content and now gear suck's and they got no gil to do stuff. Who's faults that you rushed the content?

I suggest instead of blowing your Gil on crafting you use the gathering classes and farm your materials that are possible to gather and farm. I have around 250k just from quests and selling a few drops while doing dungeons and quests.

"Everyone" will never hit 50. There will always be new players joining. There will always be players from zero to 50 earning quest gil and spending it. The longer the game runs the more people will be crafting and selling and the game vendors will see less and less business. That is the biggest sink right there, the game vendors. Soon more players will be buying from the market board than the NPC vendors. there are not going to be a finite number of players who all hit 50 then game over.

Now the real problem might be all your hard earned gil is going into my pocket and it's gonna go right into my mansion, don't worry I will have spare rooms for the staff...

I have alot of luck selling things on the market board. Sell unusuable gear if u have any left. I was luck enough to not mess with any of it until I was getting full and I thought I try out the market and 90% of it sells. Dont need to look it up or anyting. Put a price. If u log in tom and its still there, right click it and lower it. Rince and repeat. It will all sell.

Here's the thing. Adventuring never creates much gil in *any* standard MMORPG. It has always been this way. No one really noticed because those games didnt have epic gil sinks (WoW being an exception). Gil is traditionally created by crafters, gatherers, and trash loot.
XIV's problem is that repair costs are too high. We have repeatables called leves for gil creation, not to mention guildhests and the like. The gil creation is *there*, it just gets eaten up by repair costs. They are fixing that with this maintenance so it should be problem solved. I do think that lvl 50 dungeons should probably drop silver allagan pieces instead of bronze. Bronze npcs for like nothing significant.
