Any sort of pets?

My suggestion is that they simply implement a class mechanic or a new class that has a PET!

I played FFXI, among other MMO's, and I feel essentially naked without a pet folowing me around. I was purely a summoner in XI and in most other MMO's I'd choose a class which has some sort of pet functionality.

I feel like XIV is missing a BIG element of gameplay by not yet having a pet-using class or an ability on any class to grant a pet or something of the sort. Just about every MMO out now has pets in some respect. Why doesn't XIV...?
