Titan phase 3 after heart "How To"

Hi

I see a lot of players in DF failing at this, particularly in the last phase. The key thing to remember is the boss abilities are scripted, they always come in exactly the same order, so memorise the order and you can "look forward to it" before he does it.

The order of abilities in phase 3 is:
1 - mountain buster (top up tank)
2 - stomps (aoe heal raid)
3 - plumes (move FAST)
4 - bombs**
5 - landslide (sidestep it)
6 - mountain buster
7 - plumes
8 - rock someone (kill but watch for incoming line)
9 - landslide
10 - Go back to 1.

** bombs have 3 patterns that happen in the following order:
- 3x3 grid (stand on last line to spawn, move to middle after landslide)
- bombs around the outside (stand in middle, dodge landslide, move to outside when safe)
- 3x3 grid
- bombs in the inside (stand outside, dodge landslide)

Even though this is a Titan thread, I'd like to point this out: It works for the other HM Primals too. All of their attacks have a specific order, so you can predict what's going to happen next and prepare for it.

For example, Ifrit's is Dash -> Outside Flame -> Inside Flame -> Flame everywhere (so hug him).

Garuda has a teleport order, too.

First two phases? I look forward to fighting this thing myself ^^

Question about Titan: Does he get an extra phase in Hard Mode?

I noticed in the story mode version, he had a kind of pattern in what he started using. Phase 1 was simply Stomp Tremor and Arm Smack, Phase 2 he had Line Shockwaves, Phase 3 was Heart+Gaol, and then Phase 4 was the little gravity well AoEs (they looked very crystal clear, like fine quartz or the like).

I also noticed he carried (with the exception of the Heart) each attack that he used from prior phases into the phase after it. So in Phase 4, he used Tremor, Shockwave, and Gaol as well as his new attack. My question is: Is there something else that I didn't see during that fight that will be present in HM Titan? And if so, what exactly is it?

It actually goes, line rocks > circle rocks > line rocks > easy rocks (or so I call them) > Line Rocks > circle rocks > line rocks > easy rocks. But the rest of the info was correct.

Correct. Missed that off the top of my head. OP fixed and typos etc.

In terms of difficulty, wouldn't randomness actually be better?

Thanks for this Neizero. I've been so busy focusing on the plumes and bombs that I've never had the chance to see exactly the order of attacks Titan performs. I'll be sure to have this ready for when I'm on the fight. Less anticipation and more focus on taking down the mob.

I believe in 1.0 the "extreme" versions of the primals (that they put in) introduced randomness to the order of moves used in each phase. I.E. Ifrit didn't always dash left to right.
