Rage quitters

What purpose do you serve other than wasting everyone else's time upon the first wipe? Or when a new player comes in and ask what to do.... instead of helping you just up and leave like you didn't have questions when you first played the game and you wonder why you are still on either Garuda HM or Titan HM because you refuse to help people and the one you failed to help will be the main one to beat the boss before you leaving you behind in the dust. Second issue is telling people they suck because they don't have the appropriate gear on is not cool how about telling them what they need to get instead of trying to look better than everyone else and insulting them... And for the PLD who said she could out damage my monk in full Darklight gear when you had none I'll see you at the PVP arena since you can out damage me I'll put your theory to the test so you can see how the new guy felt when you said his AF was worthless then you left the party hanging

Lol rage quitters are funny especially if you wipe only once or there is a new guy. Its an additional 15 minute timer for you to even requeue. Your loss.

It makes me really laugh when a DD leaves the group. Enjoy your wait! I've had them leave after 1 wipe because people were new and had to learn the mechanics. Next fight we won incredibly easily. Patience is key, but to be honest if they are the type to up and leave after 1 wipe I don't really want to associate myself with them anyway.

this happned to me today at Adampor Keep was first run for me wiped at first boss once got the mechanics of the fight and how to speed run i cant naturally know this i need to learn like all others when they did it on their first time demon wall we wiped 4 times then they called me a noob tank if ur that pro why use duty finder? but then i qeued again and got a player that is willing to help me learn and we won after a few tries now its easy to do 2nd time i did demon wall won first try ^^

Replied to a /shout about looking for a Tank for AK. I told him I was a level 50 Tank but it was my first time.

He didn't even reply to me but kept /shouting.

An hour later he sent me a /tell saying "Still looking for that AK group?"

LOL no thanks you prick. Great way to get yourself ignored by an End Game tank.

I can understand people deciding to leave a group which they feel has little or no chance of completing the content. It is their game time after all and they can decline to spend it with whoever they wish. As long as it is done politely I have no real issue with it. The abysmal way in which some people go about it is unwelcome though. I can understand that they may have waited a long time to get into successive groups which prove to be underwhelming at best, and this can lead to a lot of frustration, but rudeness isn't the answer.

More annoying to me is people opening up the group to new arrivals once the instance is complete. Waiting for extended periods only to zone in to hear the victory music and have to re queue is extraordinarily frustrating.

Thank you for saying this. First thing I thought when I saw the topic. We are not entitled to each other, and time management sometimes means analysis and cutting losses, especially when repairs are climbing.

If the first wipe is decisive and no responses are forthcoming to a polite "so what are we doing differently" strategic discussion attempt, (the definition of insanity and all that...) that one wipe can be all it takes for one gauging the value of their own time, ESPECIALLY in the FFXIV trend of heavily weighting final boss encounters that take a half hour or so to reach.

I do think that "join group in progress" as an option was a mistake. I'd never touch this box, and its existence empowers someone bailing, for whatever reason, far too much over the other players.

Of course, my perspective could be skewed, as a tank, but that's my two cents.

This lalafel named Kenta or Kento Xx was nice enough to explain to do for my first time doing Garuda in 2.0. Now during the fight he starts to saying things like are me and my brother dual boxing.

We wipe the first time, but he said that would be ok for a test run. Second time I got back into the groove of fighting Garuda again. This time he dies, then the white mage and then me. My brother died because he didn't get behind a rock fast enough.

I managed to kill the plumes myself.

But when the tank died, the third restart the white mage left, and then Kent said we were dual boxing failures... there is a little more but I was blown away.

Maybe he's bipolar? I don't know.

After years of Valkurm dunes parties I have all the patience in the world for wipes and the like
