I was wondering about the market board.

It seems the early value in trade skills (take your pick, gold smith, leather worker etc)
is having to be heavily subsidized by levequests because people are undercutting each other constantly on pricing things until it's reached a stage that almost any reasonably common creatable item is utterly worthless and not ever worth the materials used to craft it.

There is no force of balance(except for HQ items, which I really love!);
97% of items ob the boards cost lest then 10g no matter what level they are or how much they cost from NPC vendors, where as the other 5% and the few that were picked as quest prizes or won as loot and for some reason seem to be worth thousands!

It's not like you might get something for half price compared to NPC vendor, or double when it's rare. No it's more like you'll get a common item for a joke amount of money even when it's the best equipment available for your class and level.
You can see the long list of undercutting from 5000 down to 3g, (quite literally less then the money you spent on the materials to make them) or else if the item isn't reasonably common, it's outrageously over valued, despite being available somewhere in Eorzea once you find the shop for a fraction of the price.

it;s the sort of thing that take you out of the game and onto google so it ought to be addressed.

I suggest live warning when your items are being heavily undercut, or are selling to cheaply compared to the average, that allows you to there and then adjust pricing

It might also be cool to have a retainer mode where the retainer queues items from their inventory to sell as soon as slots become free.
