Easiest class to play as a beginner?

What are your thoughts on the easiest class for beginners?

Archer by far, was so easy I had to play something else.

i think archer is generally quite easy to pick up, but once you get the songs you have to be really well versed with the mechanics.

lancer isnt that bad either, but i recall having some troubles with the class quests during beta because i was not used to the control and game play.

the next suggestion may be a little controversial, but conjurer is not a bad class to start with. after the first 3 dungeons you should have a nice grasp of how healing should be like. it could be a little hectic at times but it is both fun and not too difficult. you also get the perks of quick queues/party invites.

Definitely Archer. No doubt.

Archer definitely. Ranged attack, can move while attacking, which means you can kite mobs that are melee-only. I've saved myself more than a couple times with this, and just today I saved my party from wiping a dungeon run by kiting the mobs we pulled by accident until the healer could get to us after rezzing at the entrance (granted, wiping at that point wouldn't have had bad consequences other than repair costs, but still).

That and the Bard job unlocked with Archer 30/Pugilist 15 gives you songs that buff your party, in exchange for damage output. For example, when your spellcasters start running low on mana during that big boss fight you can play a song that increases their mana regen.

Dragoon is not a class for beginners unless you want to die all the time.

For soloing / main quest: Gladiator
For group content: Archer

After you get your job, you're no longer a beginner, and you can simply switch to another class. Actually, you can still switch to another class if you're a beginner, so just try them out.

Dragoon is hardcore! FRONT LINE TO DIE first! That why we got high DMG! =D. Easy for begining? Tanker!! Gear up and release the Kraken!! Hell yeah!! BTW I am a Dragoon

In my opinion is Arcanist. Most of time, you can use your pet as a tank. You only spam skill to monster. That's all.

However, you will face problem when you are in dungeon with other. You have to practice to control your pet.
