So I completed my second flame log and the promoter says i have to complete a trial first and to talk to the commander. The commander has no quest to give me. Anybody know what's up?

So I completed my second flame log and the promoter says i have to complete a trial first and to talk to the commander. The commander has no quest to give me. Anybody know what's up?
You have to finish your main story quest before you are eligible to undertake your promotion trial.
