Receiving - 0, Amdapor Keep and other rubber banding woes

Recently, around the same time that Amdapor Keep queues have reached the 30+ minute mark for simply reserving the instance I have noticed insane rubber banding in most duty instances where my 'receiving' becomes 0 and everything stops. Then after an indefinite amount of time, everything fast forwards to 'catch-up' with what happened during the receiving 0 period. This is in addition to 90000 errors when the receiving 0 persists for too long.

My question is, is there anything I can do about this? Is it a problem on my end? Square's? 95% of the time my game experience is flawless, but trying to tank when you can't see what is going on is impossible in hard mode instances. Try kiting Garuda when you're the only thing you can see moving.

I tried buying a new router to see if that was the issue, but no change. I'm able to use services like PSN, XBL, internet browsing, etc. all without issue. The problem seems contained to FF XIV. I know there are other threads in the technical support thread that are discussing this issue, but there seem to be conflicting reports as to what cause the 'rubber banding' problem.

It's SE's fault in this case. The instance servers just can't handle all the Amdapor speed runs.

There is a server maintenance tomorrow that is going to be addressing this.

I'm aware that the Amdapor Keep queue timers excessive length is being addressed tomorrow with the duty server maintenance, but can the same be said about the rubber banding issue? Unless the two are correlated with the overcrowding caused by the server expansions in the previous maintenance.

It's a S-E instance server issue, the last Titan HM fight I did around the time of your first post was also having horrible lag spikes every minute or so. First time ever I've seen that happen, and re-logging didn't fix it (the previous Titan HM instance I did a couple hours earlier was perfect). Hopefully the upcoming maint finally resolves these intermittent lag issues randomly affecting people.

I noticed something similar when fighting Odin on our server the other night. There were A LOT of people there, and what I noticed for me was that everything seemed to pause for a couple seconds, then catch up. It wasn't an indefinite amount of time though, just every few seconds. So I don't think it's necessarily restricted to duty finder related content.

Well hopefully maint tomorrow fixes something then, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who is experiencing this.

I've had the same issue in Keep and I thought it was me. It would randomly stop for like 1-2 seconds which makes Keep almost unplayable especially on Demon Wall. Still cleared it but quite annoying.
