Tank Gear Path
For those unaware, for some godawful reason, the darklight set is one of the armor sets where the chest/head are linked, and the legs/feet are linked. Each costs 1320 philosophy. This becomes a problem when you move to the next tier of gear, where they aren't seperated. For the artifact +1 gear, head/gloves/feet cost 495 mythology, while legs/chest cost 800+ (don't remember the exact number, just know its between 800 and 900).
What this effectively means is no matter what you do during your gear progression, you're going to have a period where you actually have to equip an older/lesser piece of equipment, because there is no viable alternative for when you own one piece of the chest/head combo, but not the other. What makes this worse, is that since there is a 300/week cap on mythology, it effectively takes 2 weeks to get a piece, and 3 for chest/legs. With this is mind, what order are people buying their gear in?

For reference, i'm currently sitting capped at 600 and change mythology. I think I'm just going to wait until next week and buy my chest because it looks cool, but that locks me into wearing a green helm for another two weeks. The other option would be to save my mythology until I have relic weapon, then upgrade to +1.

+1 your weapon if you are in bahamuts coil. you will see random pieces drop ilvl 90 equal to your af2.
yesterday i just got allagan chest piece and even though i was full darklight before, now i have to wear my hop light helm. after I +1 my shield as well I will pick up the helmet, and will buy whatever AF piece does not drop for me in coil on the legs/boots combo next.
