Can't Reinstall The Game - Extremely Frustrated Please Help!

I'm unable to install the game because the installer freezes in the middle on the update phase which is about half way through the process. The crappy part is the only reason I'm reinstalling is because the game support site said to do that if you had issues with the game crashing (I was crashing on alt+tab). Here, I am now unable to play at all. I've tried every thing I can think of to get the installer to work and I'm out of ideas. Anyone else experience something similar with the installer and how did you fix it?
