PLD Mercy Stroke
So I was looking at skills to cross over, and I've decided that Foresight is a must, but the rest of the space is pretty empty.
Now I was thinking that Mercy Stroke might be worth the cross-over seeing as it'd be really nice when tanking multiple mobs. Niche I know, but any thoughts on this?
Of course, my MRD is only level 25 or something, so I'm going by the wiki info that can actually cross this skill.

It's not good.
As a PAL you wont have enough STR or DET to make a 200 potentcy attack a certain killing blow.

I think it is off the GCD. If that's the case, it is not that bad, you could macro it to your Fast Blade button and just do the two of them at the same time for a little extra enmity.

If you want to get into min maxing, there are four skills paladins should have - Foresight, Stoneskin, Bloodbath, and Cure. Of those, foresight is the only true tanking ability. Stoneskin/cure are nice, but ultimately provide very small benefit. Once you're way ahead on aggro, you can spam cure on yourself, since casting in this game doesn't prevent block/parry. Prob is, my cure only heals for like 200. Also, if theres a break in the action on a boss fight (example: hm ifrit when boss does charges, and you are safe from the get-go), then you can toss stoneskin on yourself. Bloodbath is marginal, but you could potentially macro it with Fight or Flight to do a (bad) imitation of a war heal-tanking. The last spot is pure utility - Rez or protect. Rez is nice for 4 man content, if heals dies during trash or something. Protect is nice for soloing, but in any group content, healer will have atleast protect, and whms protect is superior.

I've used it on and off, some successful some not. I've had higher successes utilizing it right after I hear a BRD/ARC use misery's end since that's a good indicator of a trash mob being dead enough for the 200 potency to kill.
