NPC and Players Taking Forever to Load

Alright so at first I figured this was a internet speed problem but I'm starting to think it's something else. My game has been randomly closing with a APPCRASH error and normally it happens whenever I'm riding my chocobo and/or near fates. There is that issue but what frustrates me the most is what the topic is about, the loading issues.

I'm getting normal FPS in cities and leveling zones (25-30) though the players take a good 30 seconds to 2 minutes to finally load in and also makes the game a bit choppy. When the NPC finally phases in it takes a additional 30 seconds for the quest above their head to either change or actually appear.

I ran a speedtest but I have never had this issue with any other MMORPG, especially during times when there is a full volume of players around and my connection claims to be "Excellent" from what the server tells me. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated, this is almost starting to become unplayable. Here is my speedtest results along with my PC specs.

I've been having this exact same problem lately. When I first started playing the game, it wasn't an issue whatsoever. NPCs and players would load almost immediately upon coming into view. Now, however, they can take a good minute or two to finally manifest in front of me. The same goes for enemies sometimes too. I recently did a levequest where the "an enemy appears" message popped up, but I saw nothing until I was dead on the ground. Couldn't even target the mob by hitting tab. I essentially got murdered by an invisible force.

I don't think it's a graphics issue because I tried lowering the graphic settings, but it barely helped, if at all. I'm getting rather annoyed at this. Anyone that can possibly offer up some answers?

I have the same issue. When loading every map and NPC load time can take from 30 second to 2 min. I tested my internet connection and GPU config but didn´t found where the problem is located. I just begin to play FFXIV, the game looks great but this issue make it hard to be enjoyed.

Hi, i would share the solution which worked at least for me. Maybe could be useful for someone else.

After check my system all appears to work correctly but the issue was still there.

So the next step was an update of GPU drivers on a clean installation. Now the game works nice for me, no lag, no agonic loading times and fps into city 30, on field 60-70.

For all who play with NVIDIA GPUs try to update your drivers including the beta versions if dont work the others.
