Hi,
just got my first retainer and trying to set him up:)
A quick question : What kind of gear items can I sell through him? Can i sell pink/green items that drops from dungeons? I thought I couldn't only if I had used them but I can't seem to sell a pink item I got and never used (it is for another class)

As far as I know, the gear you get from dungeons are untradeable so no, you will not be able to sell them through your retainer. You can only sell tradeable items.
You can't sell pink items and you can only sell an extremely limited number of green items.
If you have completely have no use for the item then you could trade it to your Grand Company for seals.
